While I am still in summer mode, there have been lots of requests for fall dressing. This year we have seen lots of new trends emerge – who knew neon green was going to have such a big year? With the change in weather comes a change in our closets. Fall always brings some new trends and I love seeing how these summer trends will translate.
Fall Trends: A Summary…..One of the biggest trends of the year is called “Dopamine Dressing” – which basically means adding fun, bright colors to boost your mood. Translation: put on your brightest outfit and let your soul shine through. Fall always comes with a healthy dose of plaids and this year is no different. If there is one thing that you should try out this season it’s the western boot – a.k.a the cowboy boot. The western trend will be huge this fall and your cowboy boots will go perfect with a midi dress or straight leg jeans. Lastly, for a more refined look the last trend we have been seeing is called “Loungerie”. Similar to athleisure this trend combines comfort and fashion. Silky fabrics are the perfect way to dress up your fall wardrobe.

Skittles may be out, but we are still tasting the rainbow. Whether you are adding a pop of color like a bright sweater or going all out with a highlighter pink dress these colors are sure to boost your mood. I love a neutral moment, but there is something to be said about wearing color. To go all out on the trend try a monochromatic look – who can deny a full lavender suit? To test out the trend just add a few pops in your favorite neon colors to your everyday denim look.

Fall Trend // Wild, Wild, West
Call it the Beth Dutton effect if you want, but western style items have infiltrated the fashion world. From shearling to patchwork, lots of denim and even more suede – western style items have taken over. Balance this ultra tough look with feminine details such as florals and ruffles. A very fashion forward trend is wearing a classic tailored vest as a top. This can also be layered over a dress, but looks super chic with a wide leg pant.

Fall Trend // Loungerie
This trend is all about taking those silky, soft and sumptuous fabrics from the bedroom to your next Zoom. You can go all out with this trend by wearing a lingerie inspired slip dress paired with strappy heels and simple jewelry or you can test out this trend by throwing on your favorite denim with a silky blouse. I love the combination of something femme and flirty with something more structured like straight leg jeans or a classic blazer.
